A woman was seriously injured in an incident in Gozo on Tuesday, the police said.

At 2.30pm, the police was informed of an incident on Triq is-Sagħtrija, Żebbuġ, Gozo. Preliminary investigations found that a 32-year-old French woman suffered injuries when losing control of the quadbike Segway Snarler that she was driving, and it fell over. She was taken to the Gozo General Hospital by ambulance, and her injuries were classified as serious.

A magisterial inquiry was launched and investigations are ongoing.
