Tony Gambin, national football team masseur for four decades, passes away

Tony Gambin, who served as the Maltese national football team’s masseur for almost four decades, has passed away, The Malta Football Association announced.

Gambin, from Sliema, served in this role for around 350 matches. He had retired in 2016.

Throughout the years, GAmbin worked with many national team coaches and football players.

His cure from cancer in 1981 led to the beatification of Nazju Falzon by Pope John Paul II in 2001.
