The Labour Party has taken action against the person who used to run the bar at its Kirkop club over a breach of Covid-19 regulations, The Malta Independent has learnt.

It is understood that the person in question organised a dinner at the club, despite the ongoing closure of bars. Bars were shut down in October as part of the measures to curb the spread of Covid-19.

PL sources said the case was reported to the party administration, which took immediate action and terminated the barman’s contract.
