Rugby: The inside story of Louis Rees-Zammit’s rise in Welsh national team

Saturday, 20 February 2021, 09:51 Last update: about 4 years ago

Twenty-year-old Louis Rees-Zammit is making a name for himself in the rugby world.

He has gone from starting his rugby apprenticeship to graduating on the Six Nations stage by scoring a stunning match-winning try for Wales against Scotland at Murrayfield.

He has a connection with Malta, as his surname indicates. His paternal grandfather emigrated to London.

Rees-Zammit, who only turned 20 a fortnight ago, has played just 33 games for Gloucester and Wales.

But 21 tries across that career for club and country highlight what rich quality he possesses.
