Woman charged with being accomplice in Gozo theft

A woman was charged today in the Gozo courts, accused before Magistrate Monica Vella that she was an accomplice in a theft in Xaghra, Gozo.

The police said the woman, aged 35 of Qala, was also accused of receiving stolen goods and attempting to sell them. The woman, whose name was not disclosed, was also charged with recidivism.

She pleaded not guilty and was given a conditional discharge against a €1,000 deposit and €4,000 personal guarantee.

The prosecution was led by Inspector Bernard Charles Spiteri.
