PN parliamentary group denies Fearne allegation of attempt to jump vaccine queue

The Nationalist Party parliamentary group today denied that a PN MP tried to jump the vaccination queue, as alleged by Health Minister Chris Fearne.

On Tuesday, Fearne said that a PN MP had asked to be pushed up the Covid-19 vaccination queue.

In a statement, the PN said that the government had chosen to use the pandemic to try to score cheap political points. This happened on the day when Malta had registered a new record of cases.

PM Robert Abela had said that by March Malta would have recovered from the pandemic, but the number of cases and deaths continued to rise, the PN said.

The contact tracing exercise has failed, there are suspicions on the transparency in the way the vaccine was being administered and the health system was nearing a collapse.
