Opposition Leader Bernard Grech has denied an allegation by Labour Whip Glenn Bedingfield that he had violated mandatory Covid-19 quarantine.

This statement comes following Bedingfield’s allegation that PN Leader Grech broke mandatory quarantine rules when he was expected to stay at home. This was said during parliament on Wednesday during the questions of today’s parliamentary sitting.

Following Bedingfield’s allegations, Grech claimed that if he did not withdraw what was stated he would take action against him. At this stage Bedingfield said he would not withdraw his allegation.

Grech also claimed that he should have never been in quarantine and has never violated quarantine rules. He once again challenged Bedingfield to withdraw his allegation and further explained that during the summer months he had to quarantine, as well as in December and this was done and made public.

Following this explanation, Bedingfield accepted it and said, ‘if the PN Leader is saying that he did not violate quarantine, I will have to stick to his word.”
