A new ferry route has opened between Malta and Sicily, with Gollcher Company Limited running a route between Valletta and the Sicilian city of Palermo.
Gollcher Company Ltd (as Agents for Grandi Navi Veloci) announced that GNV will have three weekly sailings to and from Malta.
The RoRo ferry will service routes between Malta and Genoa in Italy and routes between Malta and Palermo in Sicily.
One will also be able to sail to Naples and Civitavecchia on the mainland through Palermo.
Due to the Covid-19 situation the service is currently limited to cargo, although prospective passengers are asked to check Gollcher’s website for updates in this regard.
They will be the third ferry service to open a route between Malta and Sicily: Virtu Ferries is the mainstay in the market, running a route between Malta and Pozzallo, while Ponte Ferries is a recently launched joint venture which will run a route between Malta and Augusta as from the coming summer.
We are proud to be Agents for GNV 🇲🇹🤝🇮🇹 A new RoRo ferry service connecting Malta with mainland Italy & Sicily 🛳...
