298 new cases of Covid-19 found as four more patients die

298 new cases of Covid-19 were found overnight, and four patients have died, the health authorities said.

The number of active cases currently stands at 3,144 and the total number of cases is 26,267.

The patients who died were; 2 males aged 72 and 74 who died at Mater Dei Hospital, an 80-year-old woman who died at the Gozo General Hospital and an 86-year-old woman who died at her own residence.

The total number of deaths now stands at 350.

338 people have recovered, for a total of 22,773 so far.

4,333 swab tests were performed over the past 24 hours, for a total of 750,755.

Up until Friday, 117,121 doses of the vaccine had been administered, of which 38,333 were second doses.
