The Nationalist Party has condemned hate speech against MP Maria Deguara, which was posted on a Tiktok account called ‘Laburisti sal-mewt’.

Some of the comments referred to the MPs age and said Deguara should not be given the Covid-19 vaccine to “get rid of her.”

The PN said it is unacceptable in a democratic society for a Member of Parliament to be the victim of hate speech.

It also said that that the Labour Party had failed to condemn the abuse that was posted on social media by its sympathisers.
