PN Leader Bernard Grech said that the government is alienated from what the people are feeling.
He addressed a political activity on Thursday evening.
"People continue talking about the cost of living, the lack of serious leadership in the country, the serious traffic problems which persist despite the government having spent more than €800 million to fix roads, which they then dig up again. This is a government that doesn't plan."
Grech said that this government throws away money. "The electricity went for two weeks last year and the government blamed it on cables overheating. Yet now they bought a new temporary power station that we use for a few weeks for €40 million. We have a government that doesn't plan."
He turned to the now annulled hospitals concession, and said that people ask how the country spent €400 million on the hospitals deal, yet the service did not improve. "€400 million was meant to have been spent on our hospitals, but went into the pockets of certain people who escaped with the money or now seem to be accused in court."
Grech said that the government has money to raise the paycheck of the Films Commissioner, but not enough for teachers, noting that a new collective agreement has not yet been signed.
"The Prime Minister is lost, alienated, burdened with internal problems, while he attacks the court and journalists, and he is not interested in the people's reality."
