A 25-year-old man from Marsa was arrested for drug possession and is expected to be arraigned in the coming days, the police said.

He was arrested by members of the Drug Squad after officers noted that he was acting suspiciously.

The man was found to be carrying a substantial number of sachets containing suspected cocaine and heroin.

The drugs were hidden in a crisps tin.

The man is being held at the police lock-up in Floriana and is expected to be arraigned in the coming days. The police are investigating.
