Two men were grievously injured while using power tools in separate accidents on Wednesday.

In the first case, a 53-year-old man was injured while working with a chaser inside a farm in Garibaldi Road, Paola. The accident took place at around 11:15am, the police said.

He was assisted by a medical team and was later taken to Mater Dei Hospital by ambulance.

In another case that took place at 1pm in Qormi, a man was grievously injured while using a grinder. The accident took place in a stable in Triq tal-Ħandaq.

The man, 78, from Zejtun, was also taken to Mater Dei. The police are investigating both cases.
