A teenager who was riding an e-kick scooter was grievously injured after being hit by a car, the police said.

The accident took place in San Anard Street, Tarxien, on Wednesday at 9pm.

The 17-year-old boy, resident of Fgura, was hit by a Fiat Seicento driven by a 35-year-old man of Zejtun.

The boy was taken to hospital with grievous injuries.
