Many were disappointed this weekend as the weather was more like late autumn than mid-spring, with rough seas and not so warm temperatures.

But early swimmers could be in for a treat next weekend as, within the next seven days, the temperature is set to rise by seven degrees, with warmer days expected to make the idea of a first dip more enticing.

The maximum temperature on Sunday, according to the Met Office, is 21 degrees Celsius.

But, by next Saturday, this will gradually go up to 28, making it more ideal for anyone wishing to go for a swim.

Summer seems to be approaching, quite fast too, as Sunday’s low temperature of 13 degrees will go up to 18 degrees by the coming weekend.
