15 new Covid-19 cases found as 100,000 people now fully vaccinated

15 new cases of Covid-19 were reported by health authorities on Monday, as the country reached another vaccination milestone.

58 people have recovered from the virus while no new deaths were registered as a result of the virus, meaning that the number of active cases has continued to fall.

Malta currently has 422 active cases of Covid-19.

1,449 swab tests were carried out in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of swab tests up to 860,279.

On the vaccination front meanwhile, 313, 279 doses of the vaccine have now been administered – with the government recently saying that half of Malta’s adult population have now received at least one dose of the jab.

Another milestone was hit meanwhile as 100,686 people are now fully vaccinated with both doses of the jab.

Malta has had 30,189 cases of the virus so far. 29,354 of those have recovered, while 413 have died.
