PL lashes out at Grech after PN fails to submit feedback on cannabis reform

The Labour Party has lashed out at the Opposition for failing to submit feedback during the public consultation period on cannabis reform.

The consultation period ended on Tuesday but the PN told Lovin Malta it will be publishing its own proposals in the coming days.

“The news that Bernard Grech’s Nationalist Party did not give any reaction to the public consultation regarding the laws that regulate the use of cannabis is further proof that the Opposition Leader does not take decisions and that citizens do not know where they stand with him,” the Labour Party said.
“During the past weeks, various entities and individuals in the country gave their own reactions as a part of the public consultation. Many gave different opinions, all of which are to be respected and considered as part of the exercise that the government is doing in yet another courageous reform that it is fulfilling. Amongst those who put forward their position there was also the Labour Party. In contrast, yet again, Bernard Grech’s silence stood out, as he has remained consistent in his lack of courage to take decisions and propose. No wonder no one knows where they stand with him,” the PL said.
