A man was grievously injured after the car he was driving was involved in a collision in Zejtun on Thursday evening.

The accident took place in Toni Zahra Street at 6.45pm.

The man, aged 38 of Mosta, was driving a Chevrolet Aveo which was involved in a crash with a Citroen C3 driven by a 62-year-old man of Zejtun, who had a 30-year-old man riding as a passenger.

With the impact, the Chevrolet careened into another vehicle parked on the side of the road.

The 38-year-old driver was taken to hospital with grievous injuries.
