A man was injured on Friday evening after the bike he was riding crashed into a tree.

The accident took place in Triq ix-Xatt in Pieta at 7pm.

The biker, a Hungarian man aged 31 who resides in San Gwann, lost control of the Benelli he was riding and crashed into a tree.

He was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
