8 new cases of Covid-19 were reported by health authorities on Tuesday.

Four people meanwhile have recovered from the virus, while no new deaths were reported for another day.

This means that the number of active cases currently stands at 70.

2,026 swab tests were done on Monday, taking the total so far up to 928,790.

519,994 doses of the vaccine had been administered up until Monday, with 318,743 of those being a first dose.  210,486 people are now fully vaccinated.

Malta has had 30,543 cases of the virus. 30,054 of those have recovered, while 419 have died.
