A man was grievously injured in a car accident early on Tuesday morning.
The accident took place in Hal Far, limits of Birzebbuga, at around 3am, the police said.
The man, 57, from Cospicua, lost control of his Hyundai Accent and crashed into an electricity pole. He was assisted by a medical team at the scene but was later taken to Mater Dei Hospital by ambulance.
His injuries were classified as grievous.
The police are investigating.
