10 new cases of Covid-19 were reported by health authorities; the first time that daily case numbers have gone into double digits since 10 May.

Four people meanwhile have recovered from the virus, while no new deaths were recorded in the past 24 hours.

2,275 swab tests were carried out on Tuesday, taking the total number of swab tests up to 931,065 so far.

Meanwhile, 528,592 doses of the vaccine had been administered up until yesterday – meaning that 8,598 doses of the vaccine were administered in a single day, a good catch up from a few days of lower vaccination numbers due to a delayed dose of Pfizer vaccine doses.

319,574 of those vaccines were first doses, while 218,321 people are now fully vaccinated.

Malta has had 30,553 cases of the virus so far. 30,058 of those have recovered, while 419 have died.
