A man was grievously injured after he was hit by a car in Marsa on Tuesday, the police said.

The accident took place in December 13 Road at 9.15pm.

The man, aged 27, of Valletta, was hit by an Otokar Vectio bus driven by a 48-year-old man of Hamrun.

The pedestrian was taken to hospital with grievous injuries.
