A passenger was grievously injured as two cars collided in Marsaskala on Thursday, the police said.

The accident took place in Qaliet Street at 4.30pm.

It involved an Isuzu Trooper, driven by a 48-year-old man, and a Toyota Vitz, driven by a 37-year-old man.

The woman, aged 50, was riding in the Isuzu.

She was taken to hospital with grievous injuries.
