An accident on Triq D'Argens, corner with Triq Manoel De Vilhena in Gzira left a motorbike rider grievously injured.

The accident occurred at 11.15am between a motorbike and a car.

The motorbike rider, a 66-year-old man from Sliema suffered grievous injuries, while a woman who was riding pillion, aged 63 also from Sliema, suffered slight injuries. Both were taken to Mater Dei Hospital.

Investigations are ongoing.
