12 Covid-19 cases found for second day running

12 new cases of Covid-19 were reported by health authorities on Monday for the second day running.

One person has recovered from the virus, while no deaths were recorded in the past 24 hours.

This means that the number of active case currently stands at 79, having increased again.

2,235 swab tests were done on Sunday, taking the total number of swab tests up to 998,866 so far.

Meanwhile, 685,024 doses of the vaccine have been administered thus far.

362,986 of those were a first dose, while 336,800 people are now fully vaccinated against the virus.

Malta has had 30,664 cases of the virus. 30,165 of those have recovered, while 420 have died.
