11 new Covid-19 cases found as numbers remain in double figures

11 new Covid-19 cases were reported by health authorities on Tuesday, with the daily case numbers remaining in double figures for the third day running.

No new recoveries were reported, while no deaths related to the virus were recorded in the past 24 hours either, meaning that the number of active cases currently stands at 90.

2,481 swab tests were done on Monday, taking the total number of swab tests above the 1 million mark to 1,001,347 so far.

Meanwhile, 689,924 doses of the vaccine have been administered thus far.

364,277 of those were a first dose, while 340,423 people are now fully vaccinated.

Malta has had 30,675 cases of the virus. 30,165 of those have recovered, while 420 have died.
