Two Britons today were charged with vandalising the Pilgrims’ Cross in Mellieha. They were granted bail.
The two, Robbie Scott Leach, 19, and Nerys Karen Cooke Spence, 21, were charged before Magistrate Ian Farrugia this morning.
The couple, who both hold a Maltese identity card, live together in Mellieha. He works in a butcher’s shop while she is a chef.
The prosecution did not object to bail, and said the two collaborated with the police. They were granted bail against a personal guarantee of €1,500 and on condition that they are at home between 10pm and 5.30am, unless they are at work.
