Thursday, 22 July 2021, 10:47 Last update: about 4 years ago

The Bank of Valletta branches of Balluta and Mqabba were closed today after an employee in each branch tested positive for Covid-19, BOV said.

BOV said that the branches will be disinfected according to guidelines issued by the Health Authorities. It added that any individuals who may have been exposed to the virus will be informed accordingly through the protocol of contact tracing.

Clients are urged that before they visit a BOV branch they should check whether it has been affected by going to https://www.bov.com/content/bov-branches-covid.

BOV has also urged its clients to reduce the risk of contact by using ATMs, BOV Internet Banking, BOV Mobile Banking, BOV Pay and BOV Debit and Credit Cards for their banking needs and payments.

Clients who require services not related to the cashier such as home loans, personal loans, investments, opening of accounts and applications for new services are asked to make an appointment with their branch on https://www.bov.com/Assistants/set-an-appointment, by sending an email on [email protected] or by phoning 21312020.

Bank of Valletta said that it would continue taking all the necessary measures in the best interest of the safety of its customers and staff. Clients who visit the bank must follow all the necessary precautions such as social distancing, the wearing of masks and the use of sanitisers.
