Covid-19: 95 new cases, 229 patients recover

Ninety-five new Covid-19 cases were recorded on Thursday, as 229 patients reovered, health authorities said.

The number of active cases has now dropped to 2,060, while the number of deaths remained at 423.

There are 33 patients at Mater Dei Hospital, one of whom is in intensive care.

In all, Malta has registered 33,995 Covid-19 cases, with 34,090 patients who recovered.

There were 3,795 swab tests on Thursday, for a total of 1,083,490.

Until Thursday, 751,546 Covid-19 vaccination doses had been administered, of which 396,686 were first doses.

In all, there are 375,373 persons who are vaccinated.

The average age of the new Covid-19 patients on Wednesday was 32.
