A 21-year-old Frenchwoman was seriously injured after crashing a quadbike into a parked vehicle.

The accident took place in Triq in-Nadur, in Rabat, Gozo, at around 5:30pm.

The woman was riding a PEDA quadbike that lost control and crashed into a parker Opel Astra.

She was given first aid on site and was later taken to the Gozo General Hospital by ambulance.

Magistrate Simone Grech is leading an inquiry. Police investigations are ongoing.
