A young man was injured in a stabbing incident in Birkirkara, the police said.

His aggressor was later arrested.

The attack took place in Valley Road at around 7.30pm.

The police said that a 27-year-old man resident in Msida was stabbed during a fight he had with another person, who escaped from the area.

The police mounted a search for him and arrested him some hours later. The alleged aggressor, a man aged 30 of Qormi, is being held for questioning.
