71-year-old grievously injured in argument in Hamrun

A 71-year-old man was grievously injured in an argument in Hamrun on Sunday, police said.

Police said that an argument had happened between the 71-year-old, who is from Fgura, and a 66-year-old man from Bormla on Triq il-Ferrovija in Hamrun.

The argument happened at around 3:30pm on Sunday, police said.

Both men were injured in the argument, with the 66-year-old being taken to Mater Dei Hospital, where he was certified from suffering from light injuries.

The other man went to a health centre and was certified as suffering from grievous injuries.

The police said that the investigations are ongoing.
