Covid-19: 76 new cases, 49 patients recover

Seventy-six new Covid-19 cases were registered in Malta as 49 patients recovered, health authorities said in their daily bulletin on Wednesday.

The number of active cases has again gone up, to 683, while the number of deaths remained at 441.

In all, 36,247 Covid-19 cases have been recorded in Malta, with 34,727 people who have recovered.

There are 31 patients receiving treatment at Mater Dei Hospital, two of whom are in intensive care.

The authorities said 4,043 swab tests were carried out on Tuesday, for a total of 1,194,358.

Until Tuesday, the number of vaccination doses administered was 797,017. There are 412,767 fully-vaccinated people.
