A man was grievously injured in a construction site accident in Hamrun on Thursday.

The accident took place in Triq Villambrosa, at around 10am, the police said.

The worker, a 30-year-old Syrian who lives in Hamrun, fell down from a height of one storey.

He was given first aid on site and was later taken to Mater Dei Hospital by ambulance.

Police investigations are ongoing.
