An elderly man was grievously injured in a traffic accident in Gozo on Tuesday, the police said.
The accident took place in San Anard Street, Xewkija, at 5.15pm.
It involved the biker, a 73-year-old man of Nadur who was riding a Honda ANC125, and a Peugeot 108 driven by a French woman aged 29.
The biker was taken to Gozo hospital with grievous injuries.
The police said in another statement that the woman was charged in the Gozo courts before Magistrate Simone Grech.
She was accused of involuntarily causing injuries to the biker, and negligent and dangerous driving.
She admitted to the charges and was conditionally discharged for two years.
Her driving licence was suspended for three months.
The prosecution was led by Joseph Gauci.
