A motorcyclist suffered grievous injuries in a traffic accident on Saturday night, police said.

Police said in a statement that at around 20:00 in Triq il-Mosta in St. Paul’s Bay a traffic accident occurred.

Preliminary investigations showed that there had been a crash between a Renault Captur driven by a 57-year-old woman from St. Paul’s Bay and a Kymco motorcycle ridden by a 36-year-old man from Pakistan, who also lives in St. Paul’s Bay.

The motorcycle rider was taken to Mater Dei Hospital by ambulance, where he was certified as suffering from grievous injuries.

Police investigations are ongoing.
