The MIA said in a statement that at 14:19, a private light aircraft declared an emergency after the two crew members on board experienced a landing gear malfunction.

MIA said that it triggered its emergency response plan, and members of the airport’s Rescue and Firefighting Team were immediately dispatched on site.

“Following several unsuccessful attempts, the crew landed the aircraft at 15:20, with no injuries being reported,” the airport said.
