The number of new Covid-19 cases registered on Wednesday was 34, the highest tally since mid-September, the health authorities said.
This was the first time since 15 September that the number of new cases was more than 30 - that time it was 32. On the previous day, 14 September, the new cases had totalled 50.
There are nine patients in hospital, four of whom are in intensive care.
The number of patients who recovered was 21, leaving active cases at 251.
No deaths were reported on Wednesday, with the number of victims remaining at 462.
In all, 883,070 vaccination doses have been adminsitered.
Since the first case was registered on 7 March 2020, Malta has recorded 37,740 cases, with 36,618 patients who recovered.
