Australian actor Russell Crowe said he fell in love with Malta in 1999 and he is being reminded why every day.

Crowe is in Malta for the filming of Prizefighter, a film about boxer Jem Belcher. Cower was recently filming in Thailand.

Crowe was the star of Ridley Scott’s Roman-era epic, Gladiator, filmed partly in Malta in 1999.

Crowe has been active on his Twitter account about his presence in Malta.

“This place is fascinating,” he wrote.
