Two men were grievously injured in the past hours in separate accidents that took place in Floriana and Naxxar, the police said.

At 6pm on Friday, a 28-year-old man of St Paul’s Bay lost control of the Audi TT he was driving and the car crashed into a wall in St Paul’s Street, Naxxar.

At 1.30am on Saturday, a 27-year-old man of Luqa lost control of the Daihatsu Sirion he was driving and the vehicle crashed into a tree in National Road, Floriana.

Both men were taken to hospital with grievous injuries.
