168 new cases of Covid-19 were reported by health authorities on Wednesday, as the number of vaccine doses administered so far has now exceeded 1 million.
It is the highest number of cases reported in a single day since 24 July, when 171 cases were reported.
110 recoveries were meanwhile reported, with the number of active cases now at 1,464.
23 patients are currently receiving treatment at Mater Dei Hospital, with three of those currently in intensive care.
1,000,324 doses of the vaccine have now been administered, with 161,144 of those being booster shots.
Malta has had 40,800 cases of the virus. 38,546 of those have recovered, while 471 have died.
