An undisclosed amount of cash was stolen in a hold-up in Zabbar on Sunday evening, the police said.

A hooded man armed with a knife entered the outlet in Labour Avenue at 20.15 and demanded money from the cashiers, a 49-year-old woman of Kirkop and a 42-year-old man from Vittoriosa.

The robber then made off with the cash.

Magistrate Gabrielle Vella is leading an inquiry.
