Prime Minister Robert Abela continues to choose to remain complicit in a corrupt deal, the PN said in a statement.

The PN said that the more details about the hospitals deal that emerge, "the more it confirms that the Vitals Global Healthcare deal was rotten."

MaltaToday on Sunday reported that Indian engineering giant Shapoorji Pallonji (Malta) is contesting an €8.39 million tax bill under an invoice it says was not paid by VGH. The Malta subsidiary of Shapoorji Pallonji International FZC, based in Dubai, had signed a contract with VGH back in 2016, to design and build projects at St. Luke's Hospital, Karin Grech Hospital and Gozo General Hospital . The agreement was not exhibited in court, the newspaper reports.

"The piques between the involved contractors is leading to more dirt being unveiled," the PN said. "We got to know that important documents will not be exhibited in court not to create political controversy. Robert Abela and the government continues to ignore facts. They pass on funds through a corrupt deal."

The PN said that if elected it will give the hospitals back to the people.
