As the high numbers of COVID-19 infections persist each day, the Nationalist Party again stressed that the government should be more transparent in its decisions.

The government cannot remain silent and leave the country in the dark, the PN said in a statement.

The health authorities must indicate which variant is the most dominant in the present circumstances. The people have a right to know, the PN added.

The Nationalist Party said that given the failures of the testing and contact tracing system, health authorities should introduce regulated self-testing kits. In this way, we can address the lack of planning by the government.

The PN said greater transparency is needed in the government's strategy to combat the pandemic.
