ABBA leader says ‘zero’ connection with murder suspect

Saturday, 8 January 2022, 11:13 Last update: about 3 years ago

ABBA party leader Ivan Grech Mintoff said Saturday that there is no connection between the party and the suspect in the murder of a Polish woman.

In a statement, Grech Mintoff said that “the blatant attacks on Christian entities (parties, churches and individuals) in order to silence them and stop their work must stop. There is too much hate, and too many lies being spread about us and as a party we will not tolerate any further attacks on our party and members without reacting.”

He was referring to reports that the suspect in the murder of Polish woman Paulina Dembska is connected with ABBA.

“I reiterate once again that there is no connection between ABBA and the murder suspect. None. Zero. And to suggest there is an association of any kind is slanderous. It is sad to see this tragedy politicized by those that seek to prevent our signature collection for a referendum. We have asked the police commissioner to look at these attacks to see if these attacks on ABBA and our members are also illegal.".
