Two bikers were injured in separate accidents that took place on Saturday, the police said.

At 7pm, a 41-year-old man of Zurrieq lost control of the Kymco bike he was riding and crashed.

The accident took place in Wied iz-Zurrieq Road, Qrendi, at 7pm.

Later, at 10.30pm, a man from Nepal, aged 28 and resident in St Paul’s Bay, was involved in a crash with a Mazda Demio driven by a 29-year-old man of Siggiewi.

Both bikers were taken to hospital with grievous injuries.
