Maltese Member at the European Court of Auditors Leo Brincat has been assigned two important tasks linked to the Court’s latest annual work programme, the court said.

He has been assigned to assess whether the European External Action Services, the EU foreign policy arm, is well equipped to contribute effectively to the coherence of the common foreign & security policy (CFSP).

With regard to cross-border cooperation in the Neighbourhood, Brincat has been tasked to audit to assess whether European Neighbourhood Instrument (ENI) cross-border cooperation programmes have been effective in enhancing territorial cooperation across the EU’s external borders
