Gozo trips affected by Mgarr quay works, MV Malita out of service

Wednesday, 19 January 2022, 11:12 Last update: about 4 years ago

Delays in the Gozo Channel ferry service may result due to maintenance work on the M.V Malita and works being carried out at the Mgarr Quay 2, the company announced through their official Facebook page.

Last weekend, many reported waiting in line for hours to catch the ferry from Gozo, with some reporting that cars were queuing from Xewkija to Mgarr in Ghajnsielem.

Apart from that, upon arrival in Malta, there was another queue, with some saying that it took them over two hours to get from Mellieha to Mosta.

There are not the only issues being currently faced by travellers to and from Gozo.

On 10 January, Infrastructure Malta announced on their Facebook page that they had started works on the road between Ghadira and the terminal.

Together with the Water Services Corporation, IM is laying new underground pipelines and rebuilding the northbound carriageway of Marfa Road. This is affecting the traffic flow towards Cirkewwa.
