Covid-19 active cases dip further as one more death registered

The number of active Covid-19 cases dipped further on Saturday, while one more death was registered, figures released by the health authorities show.

The latest victim was a man aged 92, whose death takes the tally to 545.

The authorities said that the number of new cases registered was 190, while 441 people recovered.

This has brought down the number of active cases to 3,345.

There are 93 people in hospital, five of whom are in intensive care.

The authorities said that 1,208,617 vaccination doses have been administered, of which 328,825 are booster doses.

Malta has had 67,295 cases of the virus.  63,019 of those have recovered.
